Same-Day Lumper Service & Freight Recovery
When a container, trailer, or shifted load cannot wait, CLS provides short-notice freight labor for urgent unloading, pallet rework, restacking, and dock recovery. Same-day availability depends on crew availability, location, site conditions, and requested start time.
When Same-Day Support Makes Sense
Same-day service is designed for freight situations where waiting until the next scheduled shift can create detention, rejected freight, missed appointments, or extended dock disruption.
- Floor-loaded container or trailer unloading needed on short notice
- Shifted, leaning, or collapsed pallets that must be restacked before delivery can continue
- Rejected or unstable freight requiring rework at a receiver or warehouse
- Unexpected inbound volume creating a temporary dock labor gap
- Short-notice staging, sorting, palletizing, wrapping, or freight recovery support
How Dispatch Works
Send the facility location, requested start time, freight condition, estimated case or pallet count, and any site requirements. CLS reviews crew availability and travel distance, confirms the scope, and provides the earliest realistic response window.
For urgent pallet or trailer issues, photos are helpful because they allow us to understand the condition before dispatch and arrive better prepared.
Service Coverage
CLS serves warehouse and distribution markets throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. Same-day reach varies by crew availability and job location, so customers outside our primary operating area should contact us as early as possible.
For recurring distribution-center unloading and planned warehouse support, see our regional distribution center services. For shifted loads, see our pallet restacking and freight recovery service.
